The skyline of Bratislava is dominated by the New Bridge and its the UFO Taste Restaurant, which rises 85 meters above ground.
This familiar landmark consists of a restaurant, bar, and sightseeing deck that was previously inaccessible, located 95 meters above ground. The UFO Taste Restaurant can be reached by taking a 45-second elevator ride to the top.
The New Bridge, previously named the Bridge of Slovak National Uprising, belongs to the World Federation of Great Towers and was declared to be the construction of the century in Slovakia. The sightseeing deck was inaccessible in the times of communism because it gave great views of capitalist Austria.
The entry fee for the UFO sightseeing deck is |6.50|. For children and those over the age of 65, the cost is |3.25|. This fee is waived for guests with a reservation at the UFO Taste Restaurant. Also, children shorter than 111 centimeters and those with disabilities can enter for free. The UFO sightseeing deck is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The UFO Taste Restaurant serves "Mediterrasian" food – a fusion of Mediterranean and Asian cuisines – and an extensive international selection of wines and cocktails. The prices are more expensive than what is found in town. Soup costs |12| and the cheapest main dish costs |20|. Dessert costs |13|. The UFO Taste Restaurant is open Sunday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
UFO has also very interesting bathrooms with a breathtaking view of the city.
UFO Groove, a stylish nightclub, may also be found at the top of the bridge; however, it is only open once a month and usually accessible only by invitation only.
