Zlate Piesky Lake

Zlate Piesky is a natural lake and summer resort, about 15 minutes from the city center. In some places the depth reaches 30
meters (100 feet). It has a campsite and several cabins for rent as well. Visitors
can enjoy different sports there such as volleyball, streetball, mini-golf, tennis and others. Paddle boats are available for rent. The lake hosts festivals, such as reggae festival - Uprising. In the past MTV Disco TV was hosted there as well. From the Main Train Station (Hlavna Stanica) take tram 2, or from Tesco in the center take tram 4 to their end stops labeled "Zlate Piesky"
Next to Zlate Piesky is the Palace Shopping Centre with a drive-in movie theater
Zlate Piesky (which translates as "Golden Sands") is open June-August daily 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Outside of that time the beach is still open, but lifeguards and ticket takers are not on duty. Outside of that time, sports facilities and cabins are still attended to and can be rented. Entrance varies each year, but is likely to be less than € 2.
