First building opens in Eurovea, the new Bratislava quarter
February 24, 2010 (BratislavaGuide.com) - Bratislava's newly built Eurovea city quarter opened the first of its buildings to the public: the first large five-star hotel in the city, Sheraton Bratislava.
Eurovea has been in construction since 2006 and shopping, leisure and entertainment areas of the development (the Pribina Gallery mall) will open in March 2010, to be followed by offices and residential facilities.
Eurovea is located on the Danube river bank, a short walk from the historic parts of the Old Town. The new building of the Slovak National Theatre is adjacent to Eurovea.
The EUR 350 million development by the Irish developer Ballymore Properties is to be followed by a second phase.
