New Bratislava Chairlift Zelezna Studnicka-Koliba a Success
Bratislava, November 8, 2005 (BratislavaGuide.com) - Tourist intrest in the chairlift connecting Bratislava's Zelezna Studnicka with the Koliba-Kamzik hill re-opened in September has exceeded expectations, operating company officials said.
Already the first weekend of operation some 2,000 people used the lift.
The chairlift operates from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every hour on the hour in the months of October to April and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May to September. The lift covers 186 m in height in about 14 minutes, offering great views.
The Bratislava New Town city quarter and Bratislava City reconstructed and upgraded the original 1972 lift, which had been out of operation for over a decade.
Tickets are on sale at both end-stations at SKK 60 (EUR 1.9) one-way and SKK 90 (EUR 2.85) return.
Between November 20-30, 2005 the lift will be out of operation for scheduled post-launch revision.
