Wilsonic Festival 2006
The Wilsonic 2006 , festival of urban and contemporary music, takes place from June 9 to June 10, 2006 in Bratislava, Slovakia. After the success of previous yeats and the micro.Wilsonic festival organized in Old Market Hall in December 2005, expectations are high for good electronic music to be heard at the 2006 Wilsonic.
The first headliners that have confirmed their participation are Matthew Herbert, LTJ Bukem and MC Conrad from Good Looking Records (London, UK), well-known for their easy-to-listen drum'n'bass Progression sessions. Other participating DJs and bands are to be announced soon.
For tge first time, the Wilsonic Festival venue will be on the right-hand Danube river bank at Tyrsovo Embankment, near the Arena Theatre.
Wilsonic Festival features multiple genres such as jazz, techno, rock, indies and pop. Wilsonic celebrates its fifth birthday this year and has attracted the best of electronic music in past years including Gus Gus, Daddy G, DJ Vadim's One Self, Ricardo Villalobos, Akufen, Louie Austen, Funkstörung, Rainer Trueby, Fauna Flash, Hood, Max Tundra, Donna Regina, Safety Scissors, Lali Puna, Jan Jelinek, Mira Calix, Luciano, Keith Tenniswood, Diesler and others.
