Wilsonic 2010 Cancelled for Financial Reasons
Bratislava, May 20, 2010 (BratislavaGuide.com) - Organisers of Bratislava's leading electronic music festival, Wilsonic, have announced that the 2010 festival will not take place due to financial reasons.
The 2009 festival took place at the Summer Club Incheba, a new venue, temporary beach set up in the outdoor portion of the Incheba Exhibition Centre. The festival resulted in financial losses after the withdrawal of key sponsors and lower than expected visitor figures.
Traditionally, Wilsonic served up a varied offering of up-to-date and advanced ("reflecting future") music from electronica through advanced and urban music trends.
Organisers said they were now focusing on reviving the festival in a new format in 2011.
