Exhibition: Rasto Haronik Ceramist and Collector

The author worked as a restorer of ceramic archaeological findings,
cultural worker, and today he acts as an independent producer. Author lives in a late
19th century house typical for the region of Upper Nitra the restoration into
the original appearance of which he made by himself. He was awarded the
Europa Nostra prize for the restoration of the house in 1993.
This year's exhibition cycle of Gallery ÚŒUV opens
remarkable personality Rastislav Haronik. Ceramist,
restorer, collector and cultural worker
is engaged for
decades in the field of preservation
of folk art production.
The exhibition, entitled Raso Haronik ceramist and
collector, approaches dozens
of works, among which stand out ceramic molds
for baking, pepper and salt cellars, bottles, boxes of food or tiles for tiled stoves. Rastislav Haronik is known as
an passionate collector of folk art and craft objects.
He is the collection of unique importance for his
genuine and true commitment and proficiency. This commitment helps him to
build the collection of traditional craft items he has transformed into a
domestic museum.
