The UFO Beach (or in Slovak "Plaz pod UFOM") It's a "Cafe del Mare" style beach on the Danube riverbank (Petrzalka side - across from the Old Town), near the Novy Most (New Bridge) - the one with the big UFO shaped restaurant. Hence the name of the beach underneath it.
The UFO beach is host to beach parties, an array of others events, or just a place to pleasantly rock the summer away lounging with a long drink.
Refreshments available include beverages and meals, seating capacity of 200 plus hammocks, bars on site, a lounge with a widescreen TV for chilling out, sandboxes for the kids and corners reserved for families with children. Big parties and other special events are held every Friday and Saturday night.
Buses 93, 83, 84, leave the Presidential Palace every few minutes from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. Get off at Aupark, walk the rest of the way (about a 5 minute walk).
Nearby are Aupark shopping center, Sad Janka Krala, and Incheba Expo Hall, just across the river.
No admission is charged.
Open June - September, 11:00 AM until at least midnight.
