Slovak National Museum (Main Building)
Has 2.4 million objects in its collection, which makes it one of the most important museums of natural science in Europe.
Out of the seven branches of the National Museum, this is considered the main branch. The building specifically focuses on Natural Science and Technical Exhibitions.
The Museum is located at Vajanskeho nabrezie, which is near the Ship Port along the Danube and less than a five minute walk from Hviezdoslavovo Namestie (Hviezdoslavovo Square) in the Historic Center.
Open Tuesday - Sunday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Closed Monday. Admission is € 3.50, or discounted admission for children, students, and retirees is € 2. Family admission for 2 adults and 2 children is € 5 or for 2 adults and 3 children € 8.
