Pohoda Festival 2006 in Trencin

Trencin (a historical city an hour of train-ride north of Bratislava) is the home of the largest music festival in Slovakia. From July 14 to July 15, Pohoda festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary. This year's event will welcome as many as 100 performers from 15 countries, the festival will also offer a place for different forms of arts and relax. Sculptures, painting and graffitis, extensive dance workshop, literature, cinema, discussions about psychology and singing workshop with world music diva Ida Kelarova will all contribute to unique atmosphere of Bazant Pohoda Festival 2006. The festival site is located in the area of Trencin's airport, with the facilities providing a place for relax.

Pohoda Festival has announced headliners Pixies (Boston, USA) and Frames (Ireland). The exciting blend of music styles to be seen and heard includes well-known Zero 7, electronic mix masters Coldcut, electronic pop of Stereo Mc's, world-music by Natacha Atlas, Gentleman, Da Lata, The International Noise Conspiracy, Dizzee Rascal, Darren Emerson, Andy C, Marco Carola, Kevin Johansen with band Nada or Gustavo Santaoalla with group Bajofondo Tangoclub.

Slovak and Czech scenes will be represented by Hana Hegerova, Peter Lipa, Milan Lasica, Ondrej Havelka and his Melody Makers, Vidiek, Polemic, Hex, A.M.O., Vec, Moja rec, Lavagance, Diego, Eduardo Borsuci in Optima Fomra, Knot Photogenic, symphonical orchestra of Julius Selcan and many others.
