Klarisky Church

This church and monastery are currently not being used as a church or as a monastery. The picturesque "Klarisky" Gothic church is used as a concert hall, for its impressive acoustics. The neighboring monastery is being used by the University Library.
The church is named for the Order of St. Clare nuns, or "the Poor Clares," as they are often referred to.
The monastery is located in the center, at the edges of the quiet, and not yet renovated, section of the Old Town owned by the Roman Catholic church. From Klarisky, take a walk up Farska street and head towards St. Martin's Cathedral to see that part of town.
