Horse Racing Track
Fantastic place to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon in the spring or summer - outside, in the fresh air, lots of green, watching the horses run.
Admission to the track is € 1.40. Students and seniors are half price - € 0.70. Children under 10 are free. Minimum bets are € 1, and sometimes € 2 for some larger events. Races are held on Sundays from mid-April through late-October.
The track takes a little effort to find from public transportation (bringing a map is recommended). Bus 83 goes to the race track from the Presidential Palace (near the Old Town). It is about 10 minutes from the center by car.
Food and drink vendors, which, typical of Slovak sporting events, tend to be less expensive at the track than at most places in the center of town.
A flea market is also held on the premises of the race track Saturdays from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Admission to the flea market is € 0.70, seniors get in for € 0.40, and children under 10 are free.
