Gumball 3000 Rally Ends in Bratislava After Deadly Macedonia Accident

Bratislava, May 3, 2007 (BratislavaGuide.com) - A race across Europe attended by Paris Hilton and wealthy car owners ended ahead of schedule in Bratislava on Thursday, as a "mark of respect to Vladimir Cepulyoski who died today after an accident involving one the participating drivers," rally founder Maximillion Cooper said in a statement.
67-year old Macedonian male driver suffered a heart attack on Thursday, after his vehicle collided on Wednesday with a Gumball participating vehicle, Cooper said in an earlier, May 2nd statement.
The Independent quoted the UK Foreign Office as identifying Nicholas Morley and Matthew McConville as taking part in the rally and coliding with another vehicle.
"We are very saddened by what has happened and feel that it would be wrong to continue," Cooper said.
A Macedonian court handed Morley a suspended two-year sentence in ealry June.
