Bratislava Guitarfest 2007 to take place May 18-19, 2007

Bratislava, April 20, 2007 (BratislavaGuide.com) - The second year of the international guitar music festival Guitarfest takes place at Bratislava's Park of Culture and Relaxation (PKO) on Friday and Saturday, May 18-19, 2007.
The festival will feature outstanding guitar players of various genres from Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Canada.

Friday evening concerts begin at 6 pm. The Slovak guitar legend Fero Giglak will perform with his well-known formation Fermata. Juraj Burian (SK) will be joined by his classmates from the Berklee School of Music. Other performers include bass guitarists Pavel Jakub Ryba (CZ) and Wojtek Pilichowski (PL).

On Saturday from late morning workshops on guitar techniques take place accompanied by presentations of guitar producers.

The Saturday 6 pm concert highlights include Slovak guitar virtuoso henry Toth, Zdenek Fiser (CZ), Canadian bluesman Dave Goodman, flamenco guitarist Martin Bies (SK) with the band Flamenco Clan, as well as Acoustic Colours, an instrumental formation of a guitarist, bass player and violinist.
