Film Festival Recommendations for December 9, 2005
We would like to recommend you some further movies to be screened tomorrow.
Hidden - French psychological thriller starring Juliette Binoche. Mand and wife find a videotape with footage showing their house and the street they live on one morning. There is no commentary and this leaves them both surprised and afraid. There are more tapes to come and a story to unfold.
Hawaii, Oslo - This Norwegian movie shows us the world affected by loss of faith. It revolves around a couple who have a child born with serious heart defect. The baby can be operated only at a private hospital in the USA, but the operation is over the parents' budget.
Good Night And Good Luck - This movie is a tribute to the radio and TV journalists from the 1950's. Journalist Edward R. Murrow broadcasts a popular documentary show. He also moderates a talk show and is a contented reporter. It's the same time when senator Joseph McCarthy is an important person and he heads the investigation agency focused on anti-American activities. Edward R. Murrow now presents a problem for McCarthy.
It's also the last chance to see the Slovak documentary Propeler about youth communities in Bratislava.
