Eurovea on Track for Timely Completion
Construction of Bratislava's Eurovea, the real estate project by the Irish developer Ballymore, is on track to open to the public in the Spring of 2010, a Ballymore spokesperson confirmed (see information on Eurovea opening).
Eurovea is located on the Danube river centrally between the Old Bridge (west) and Apollo Bridge (east). It connects with the new building of the Slovak National Theatre to the north.
Eurovea will provide space for offices and administration, flats and lofts as well as leisure space including cafes, bars and restaurants.
Some construction works have already been finished including roads and intersections (connecting to Dostojevskeho rad and Landererova streets). Traffic lights have been erected, though they're not yet working, and the so called City Auditorium has been finished and currently serves as an office building for construction administration and a showroom.
Most of the building structures have already been erected and construction workers are working on the outside walls. There is some activity also in the interior.
Eurovea spokeswoman Patricia Hradilova told BratislavaGuide.com that there would be no delays in the Eurovea completion. Heavy construction work should be finished in October 2009 and currently workers are installing glass facades and rooftops. Electricity, sprinklers, elevator shafts with elevators and other infrastructure is currently being installed in the interior.
Last year, we reported on sales of apartments in Eurovea.
