European Rafting Cup 2011 - May 28 - 29

The European Cup in Rafting takes place every year in numerous countries around Europe. Each country organizes one event a year as a part of the Cup. Since the white water rafting center in Cunovo, near Bratislava, was completed, it has hosted the European Cup every year. In 2011, the event will take place on May 28 – 29 and it promises to be entertaining as organizers host international competitors and several Slovak crews. There is no limit on the number of teams that each country may send.
White water rafting is very popular in Slovakia and every year when the weather is good, the event brings hundreds and sometimes thousands of people to Cunovo. According the event organizers, this run has the potential to be the most successful of all the countries this year, judging by the amount of spectators expected. About 20 – 25 crews are expected to attend the Cup, but the potential number of attending crews is somewhere between 48 and 65. Teams from Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary and Netherlands have already confirmed that they will attend.
The Cup will host two categories – R4 and R6 (four and six member crews of men and women) in slalom, sprint, marathon and H2H (head to head). The three highest finishing crews in each category will win prizes.
Apart from rafting, event visitors can expect a rich program consisting of barbeque, paintball, go-karts, rafting for families with small children, concerts, a dance party, and the viewing of short films as well as footage recorded during the competition. Also, there will be a mini-farm and a playground for children.
If the weather is good, the European Rafting Cup in Cunovo will surely be a memorable experience for competitors and spectators as well.

Yeah it’s not pregty, that’s for sure. It’s effective, though.The world will be much better suited getting a Spain-Brazil WC Final, that would be unbelievable. I’m not sure it’ll happen, though.
