Deep Purple to Play Bratislava
Some of the more infectious and sinewy riffs known to Rock and Roll will be gracing the Sibemac Arena, National Tennis Center on Sunday May, 3rd.
Most popular for their classic songs such as "Smoke on the Water" and "Woman from Tokyo" Deep Purple also received acclaim for their most recent album "Rapture of the Deep". The tour begins May 1st in Wroclaw, Poland and then on to Ostrava, then Bratislava on May 3rd, and then Prague on May 4th. After finishing the four concert blitz of central Europe they head to Germany in the beginning of June.
Lead singer Ian Gillan was recently accredited by Planet Rock as one of Rock's greatest singers hitting number 4 on the list of 40 and head guitarist Steve Morose was voted the best guitarist by Guitar Magazine for five years in a row in the 1980's.
