American bluegrass legend to open Bratislava Bluegrass Fest 2007 on May 2
Bratislava, April 29, 2007 (BratislavaGuide.com) - American singer, guitarist and composer Claire Lynch with her band will open the 2007 Bratislava Bluegrass festival at the DK Zrkadlovy haj in Bratislava, Petrzalka.
Lynch is an International Bluegrass Music Association "Female vocalist of the year" award winner (1997), Grammy award nominee in category album of the year for the albums Moonlighter (1995) and Silver and Gold (1997). 
The Claire Lynch Band is composed of prominent American bluegrass musicians. Missy Raines on bass, the first woman ever to be awarded the title "Bassist of the Year" (1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001). Jim Hurst, first guitar, and Jason Thomas on mandolin and fiddle.
