Tricountry Marathon to take place in Bratislava on September 18, 2005
Bratislava, April 24, 2005 (BratislavaGuide.com) - A tricountry marathon covering Austria, Hungary and Slovakia is scheduled to take place on September 18, 2005. The event aims to "encourage the spirit of harmony by attracting all ages, from near and far, in a great international sporting event," according to the organiser, the non-governmental Slovak Strategic Awareness Bureau.
The marathon will start in Bratislava - Petrzalka on the Danube river bank at 9 am and finish after running through fast flat and scenic track through the two neighbouring states at the Hviezdoslavovo square in the historical centre of Bratislava.
The time limit for the marathon is six hours and it is open to competitors over the age of 18.
After the finish of the marathon a pasta party is scheduled to take place.
