Bratislava New Year 2007 Celebrations
Bratislava, December 27, 2006 (BratislavaGuide.com) - On December 31, 2006 the City of Bratislava will hold another year of public New Year's Eve celebrations in the centre of the city, with the slogan "Welcome to Partyslava!".
The two main entertainment areas will be the Main Square with concerts of popular Slovak bands and Hviezdoslavovo Square with world music performances and a disco.
At midnight, following a laser light countdown fireworks will take place over the Danube river.
Attendance at celebrations is free. Entry into the area is through check-points at Michalska, Venturska, Mostova, Gorkeho, Jesenskeho, Laurinska and Frantiskanska. Visitors are not allowed to bring glass bottles, metal or wooden sticks or fireworks.
