Bratislava Internet Cafés Locator

There are now plenty of decent Internet Cafés in the centre of Bratislava you will find quite easily. We list a few with simple directions.

Internet Centrum Michalska 2, in the pedestrian zone on the corner of Sedlarska (near the Irish Pub) and Michalska (the street with the laser beam and the last remaining city gate tower, the Michael's Tower) inside a mini mall (which also houses the Old City Hotel). Serves free water and tea, shares the space with a DVD rental place. Also offers discounted long distance calls and film developing.

The Inet Café, a quiet and pleasant place, is located on Panenská street, near the corner with Kozia.

The Austrian Institute on Bastova runs a nice coffee shop with an Internet café. You will find it in the little street on the left right before the Michael's Gate on Michalska.

If you crave home contact via the Internet at odd hours, head for the iCybercafe at the Aupark Shopping Centre across the river from the Old Town. In the summer months, the cafe is open around the clock and offers computers equipped with webcams and mics. It also happens to be a wellappointed computer gaming centre serving good coffee and a broad selection of other soft-drinks and alcohol.

Finally, an insider tip: right next to the Inet Café, directly on the corner of Panenska and Kozia, there is the Old Town Public Library, offering internet access in serene library setting for a mere SKK 30 (EUR 0.99) per hour.

Prices at most Internet Cafés run at about SKK 60 (EUR 1.98)-SKK 120 (EUR 3.95) per hour, some are cheaper.

I can recommend both Internet Centrum and Inet Café. The former isn't too large, but there is generally a computer available. They also have MS Office installed, in case you need to work with attachments. Unfortunately, I can't recall if that is the case with Inet, since I didn't have that need when I went there.

We found a cafe on Tomanova 25 called Gavalier. They were still working on the cafe but you can see it is going to be very nice very soon. The staff were very frendly and helpful and the coffee good.
