First Bratislava Aquapark Closes in April 2007

Bratislava, April 30, 2007 (BratislavaGuide.com) - First Bratislava Aquapark Aulandia closed down after two years of operation at the end of April 2007.

The park opened its gates to the public on July 30th, 2005. The aquapark was located on the second floor in Aupark shopping mall in Petrzalka.

Aulandia waterpark offered 4,700 square meters of wild Africa, ancient Rome and oriental Asia with lots of rides and attractions. Aulandia featured African jungle with ramparts, jacuzzi and exotic beach with sunshades for adults as well as bamboo swimming pool for children with swinging watermelon, splashing palms and crocodile slide.

There were also three large water coasters offering adrenaline rush for the adventurous. The Yellow-blue waterpark coaster with its 61 meters was the longest water coaster in Aulandia aquapark. The second green water slide was with rubber tires ride and was 36 meters long. The last one was a 35 meters long violet water slide. Another attraction was a wild river with strong water nozzles.

There was a large open-air terrace with sunshades available during the summer months offering scenic views of Bratislava landmarks.

Bratislava Aquapark Aulandia's webpage was located at www.aulandia.sk (in Slovak language only).
